Late-Autumn

Warmer times…

Posted by Jake on 11 February, 2009

…are upon us it seems. Since Sunday wae have been 70 degrees or warmer, today we reached 80 degrees or warmer. Today while walking outside I noticed the warmer weather has caused the Hibiscus’s burnt leaves to fall off, with the winds help. The Castor Bean’s leaves continue to fall off as it warms and the winds blow. It actually was growing new leaves before last weeks heavey frost.

Some of the best news is that my Cavendish Banana has finally started to push out a new leaf after January’s cold blast. Banana’s are great since they are water based and once the water heats up they start to grow.

Warm weather is to continue for the foreseeable future with a rain chance later this week.
